What are organic fruits?
Organic food does not contain pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. They also contain more nutrients, such as vitamins A, C, E, and K, plus omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy ingredients make organic food better for our bodies and the planet.
Organic foods are grown using sustainable farming practices that preserve soil quality and encourage biological diversity. They are free of toxic chemicals, irradiation and sewage effluent.
Although organics are most commonly associated with produce, organics can also be found in dairy, meats, poultry, eggs and baked goods.
The USDA defines organic as crops grown in accordance with strict federal regulations. To grow these foods, farmers cannot use non-organic (or conventional) methods. However, they can use approved natural methods to control pests, like crop rotation and cover crops, or animal feed made of organic materials.
Further, the farmer must be careful about the amount of pesticide and fertilizer he uses in the growing season. GMOs, artificial growth hormones, synthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are not allowed in the fields of farmers.
Fruits and vegetables labelled "100% organic" meet all the requirements above. But not all farms will label their products 100% organic. That would confuse consumers. Instead, they will label the product as "made from organic ingredients". "
What are organic products for the skin?
Organic skincare products are made without synthetic chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, petrolatum, petroleum jelly, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulphate, talc, triclosan, titanium dioxide, triethanolamine, vitamin A palmitate, etc.
Organic skincare products are free from artificial colours, fragrances and preservatives.
They can also be used to maintain healthy skin, protect against premature aging, promote healing from injuries, and improve overall well-being.
These are some standard terms you might come across when shopping for organic items:

- Fragrance-Free: The product is free of essential oils or fragrances.
- Cruelty-Free: No animals were hurt during manufacturing.
- Natural Ingredients - the ingredient is naturally derived from the plant or animal.
- Vegan/Vegetarian: The ingredients can be either vegetarian or vegan.
- Gluten-Free is a label that indicates that no gluten was added to the product.
- Non-Toxic - The product doesn't contain toxins, carcinogens, or other dangerous compounds that could harm your health.
- Biodegradable: The product will be discarded as harmless components.
- Pesticide Free – There were no pesticides used during the harvesting or growing process.
- GMO-Free means that no ingredient in the product contains genetically modified organisms.
- Certified Organic means all ingredients were grown in ways that preserve the soil, water and air.
What is inorganic?
Organic food is made without pesticides or artificial fertilizers. These chemicals can cause health problems in organic foods.
Organic food can be grown without chemical fertilizers, pesticides herbicides, fungicides, and other harmful substances. These chemicals may cause damage to animals as well as humans.
Inorganic food can include meat, fish eggs, buttermilk cheese, buttermilk, yogurt, honey grains, vegetables, fruits spices, and herbs.
The term organic refers to the way an agricultural product is grown. Organic farming employs natural methods and soil amendments for growing crops. Conventional agriculture uses pesticides or fertilizers.
Foods labeled as organic must meet strict guidelines by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). All organic food must comply with the National Organic Program Standards. This means that it must not contain prohibited materials like antibiotics, growth hormones or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), as well as industrial solvents. Organic food must be grown without the use of toxic chemicals or petroleum-based fertilizers.
How do I find out if my produce's organic?
If you want to make sure that you are buying organic produce, look for these three labels:
USDA Organic Certified- This product has been certified organic by the USDA.
Certified Naturally Grown is produce that has met strict organic requirements but not yet been certified by the USDA.
Pastured/Freerange - Products made from animals who graze freely and are outdoors.
These labels indicate that the product meets specific criteria, which include:
- No synthetic pesticides and fertilizers
- There are no genetically modified organisms
- The animal is never given antibiotics
- Animals are not ever given hormones.
- No growth-promoting drugs
- No feed additives
- No artificial ingredients
- No irradiation
- No sewage solids
- No GMOs
