This warm and cozy drink is perfect for the colder months to soothe your cough and cold. This drink is made with whiskey to give it a little kick, honey to add sweetness, lemon juice for a bit of tang and your favorite tea.
What's the truth? This isn't just for winter. Hot Toddy is a great way to soothe sore throats and lift your spirits at any time of year.
You'll love the Toddy if you like a Whiskey Sour, Sazerac or other cocktails. The "hot" cousin to both! While the other cocktails focus on that sweet-tart mix, a hot Toddy is a cocktail that brings people together.
Ingredients
Are you ready for a toddy? What you will need!
- 1 1/2 oz. Whiskey or Bourbon
- Honey 1 tbsp
- Half a lemon, juiced
- 1 cup of hot water
- Tea bag of your choice
- Slice of lemon for garnish
