How To
How to get Organic Meat on a budget
This post will share some tips and tricks to help you buy organic meat without breaking the bank.
I'll give you some tips about where to find organic meats at a low price and how much it costs per pound. You will be able to make the most of what you have purchased.
For healthy eating, you don’t have to spend a lot. Sometimes you need to be creative in order to save money and still eat healthy. Here are my top tips for keeping food costs down and still enjoying the many benefits of organic meat.
- Buy at wholesale clubs - Costco and Sams Club are great places to shop for bulk foods like chicken breasts and pork chops. You may be able to get large quantities of meat for as low as 50 pounds if your home is near one of these stores. This ensures that meat is not wasted. And if you buy it in bulk, you can freeze it, so it lasts longer.
- Shop around online - Tons of websites sell meat at discounted prices. Amazon has Prime Pantry, a weekly sale that offers free shipping for orders over $35. You can get discounts on ground beef, beef roasts, lamb steaks and pork loins. You can browse their website and view what's on sale at different times.
- Locate a farmer in your area. Local farmers are usually cheaper than big box retailers as they don’t pay high stocking fees. They know exactly what the animals ate and drank to ensure they are fully informed about what is in their bodies.
- Choose lean cuts of meat - It is usually cheaper to cook lean meat than fatty. So, look for the leanest cuts. The most common ones are sirloin steak, tenderloin roast, top round steak, and flank steak. These cuts have high protein and low fat.
- Try new recipes. One of the easiest ways to reduce your grocery bill is to start cooking meals with ingredients you haven't used before. It's possible to create delicious meals with fresh tomatoes, onions and garlic using olive oil, spices, and garlic.
- Make your leftovers creative - You can make sandwiches, soups, casseroles, and other dishes with leftover meat or poultry. For quick lunches, leftover meat can be used to make dinners.
That's it! Here are some tips on how you can afford organic meat despite being on a strict budget. What other tips do you have? Are you able to give me any tips on how to get cheap meat?
