How To

How to save money on organic meat

This post will share some tips and tricks to help you buy organic meat without breaking the bank.

I'll give you some tips about where to find organic meats at a low price and how much it costs per pound. You will learn how to make the best out of what you purchase.

For healthy eating, you don’t have to spend a lot. Sometimes creativity is required to make money while still eating healthy. Here are my suggestions for ways to cut food costs while still enjoying the benefits of organic meat.

  1. Wholesale clubs - Sams Club, Costco, and Sams Club offer great deals on bulk foods like chicken breasts. These stores often offer discounts on large quantities of meat, up to 50 pounds, if you are lucky enough to be near one. This will ensure that you don't waste any meat. If you buy it in bulk you can freeze it so it lasts more.
  2. Online shopping is a great way to find meat at a discounted price. For example, Amazon has a weekly deal called Prime Pantry, which includes free shipping on orders over $35. There are discounts on roasts, ground beef and lamb steaks as well as pork loins. You can browse their website and view what's on sale at different times.
  3. Local farmers will usually be cheaper than big-box retailers since they don't pay large fees to stock their shelves. They know exactly what the animals ate and drank to ensure they are fully informed about what is in their bodies.
  4. Look for lean cuts of meat. Fatty meats are generally more expensive to cook. Look for the tiniest cuts. These include sirloin, tenderloin, top round, flank, and top-round steaks. These cuts are very low in fat and high in protein.
  5. Try new recipes. Cooking with new ingredients is one of the best ways to cut your grocery bills. You might be amazed at the delicious recipes you can create with fresh tomatoes and onions, garlic, olive oils, and spices.
  6. Use leftovers to create new recipes. It's easy to make quick lunches and dinners with leftover meat.

So there you go! This is my list of tips to help you afford organic meat, even if your budget is tight. What other tips do you have? What other tips do you have for me?
