A digestive tract that is omnivorous includes a crop, proventriculus and gizzard. It also contains small intestines, large intestines, and anus.

Buy dairy products that are 100% organically produced. Like ruminants, dairy cattle have four stomachs. The fourth stomach compartment--the cow's udder--is where milk is produced.

To find out the percent of the feed the animals received when you purchase other types livestock, be sure to read the labels. For example, pork may be labelled '95% organic.' This means 95 percent of the pig's feed came from organic sources.


What's the difference between organic foods and inorganic food?

Organic food does not contain pesticides, chemical fertilisers, sewage waste, irradiation, genetic modification. Organic farming practices contribute to soil health, water purity, and animal welfare.

Inorganic foods can be grown using pesticides, chemical fertilizers and sewage sludge. Radiation is used to treat irradiated food; biological engineering techniques are used to create genetically modified organisms (GMO).

Sometimes, the term "natural", is used interchangeably with "organic." Natural does not necessarily have to mean organic. You may also find products that are labeled as "natural", which could contain synthetic ingredients.

Because organic produce contains fewer harmful chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers than conventional produce it is more nutritious. Organic farmers also don't use synthetic fertilizers or hormones, pesticides, or antibiotics.

For our health, organic produce is crucial. Organic produce is the best way to eat healthy foods. It's healthier for us as well as more environmentally-friendly because it doesn’t rely on pesticides, fertilizers, or other chemicals.

What is inorganic food?

Organic food is grown without pesticides and artificial fertilizers. These chemicals may be harmful to your health and can also be found in non-organic foods.

Organic food is produced naturally and without any harmful substances, such as chemical fertilizers or pesticides. These chemicals can be harmful to both animals and people.

Inorganic foods are meats, fishes, eggs, buttermilk, cheese, yogurt and honey as well as vegetables, fruits and spices.

Organic refers the way an agricultural product grows. Organic farming, for example, uses natural methods and soil amendments in order to grow crops. Conventional farming, however, uses pesticides and synthetic fertilizers.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), must ensure that organic food meets strict standards. According to the National Organic Program Standards, all certified organic food must be free from prohibited materials such as antibiotics, growth hormones, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and industrial solvents. Organic food must not contain toxic chemicals, petroleum-based fertilizers or sewage sludges.
