Is Thai cooking made with garlic?
Thai cuisine includes garlic. Garlic is commonly added to salads.
Garlic is often fried in Thailand with ginger, shallots, and other spices. It is also often eaten with sticky rice.
It is common to mince garlic and then mix it with chili paste, salt, fish sauce and lime juice. This is known as "Nam Phrik", or namphrik. Nam phrik is often served with grilled chicken or beef.
Almond Flour or Almond Meal? What is the difference?
An almond meal, which can be used as an almond flour substitute, is more versatile than other almond flours because it can be used for baking and cooking, as well as making nut free dishes.
Almond flour can also contain gluten which makes it more difficult to digest. If you have celiac disease or another digestive disorder, it's essential to avoid gluten-free foods.
Almond flour isn't considered "superfood", but it is high in healthy fats, fibres, protein, vitamin E, and sodium.
The almond meal provides nutritional benefits such as magnesium, iron, zinc and manganese. It also contains vitamin A, B1 (thiamin), C, and folate.
Almond flour is made of almonds. Almond oil is made from polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, fatty oils. Both types reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and increase HDL ("good") cholesterol.
In addition, almond flour is rich in antioxidants, including flavonoids, phenolics, and proanthocyanidins. These compounds are effective in preventing oxidative damages caused by free radicals.
A study published in the Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry found that almond flour had antioxidant activity equivalent to that of blueberries, cranberries, pomegranates, and red wine grape juice.
Almond milk is often sold with almond flour, which has been fortified with additional nutrients.

How to Make a Garlic Press
A garlic press is an essential tool for any home cook. This allows you to quickly mince garlic and make smooth sauces, soups, and salad dressings. It can also be used to crush whole garlic cloves into buttery spreads or garlic salt.
If you don't yet have a garlic presse, you may be wondering where to get one. These tips will help you get started.
First, you will need a large bowl. Place the bowl underneath the press and pour the crushed garlic into it. Now, adjust the pressure regulator valve until it reaches maximum.
Next, turn the handle counterclockwise until you hear a click. You will be able to slide the blade over the bowl by lifting the top part of your press. Continue turning the handle in a clockwise direction until the blades come to a close.
Finally, take out the pressed ginger and enjoy!
Here are some ways to make this versatile tool even more useful:
- You can add minced garlic to soups and sauces, salads, dips, or as a seasoning.
