Are organic foods better?
According to the Environmental Working Group’s latest report on pesticide residues, organic fruits/vegetables had nearly half as many pesticides than non-organic. Organic strawberries contained four times more pesticides that their conventional counterparts, and organic apples contained eight percent less.
Research has also suggested that organic food may reduce mercury and lead exposure. For instance, one study showed that children who consumed organic meat had 33% less blood lead levels than children who did not. A second study found that conventional fish should be avoided by pregnant women due to the high levels of mercury.

Organic beauty products do not require animal testing and are free of genetically modified organisms (GMO).
The USDA defines organic production as "a system of production which fosters the cycle of resources" and it has been used since decades to refer to foods grown without pesticides.
The harmful effects of chemical compounds on our bodies have led to an increase in the demand for ecofriendly beauty products.
These include skin irritation, hormone imbalance, premature ageing, and cancer.

In this post, I'll share tips and tricks on buying organic meat without breaking your bank account.
Here are my tips for finding cheap organic meats. I'll also tell you how much each pound costs. You will be able to make the most of what you have purchased.
To eat well, you don't have to spend a lot. Sometimes creativity is required to make money while still eating healthy. Here's my list of ways to keep your food costs down while enjoying organic meat's benefits.
- Wholesale clubs - Sams Club and Costco are great places for bulk food like chicken breasts or pork chops. These stores often offer discounts on large quantities of meat, up to 50 pounds, if you are lucky enough to be near one. You won't have to waste meat. And if you buy it in bulk, you can freeze it, so it lasts longer.
- Shop around online - Tons of websites sell meat at discounted prices. For example, Amazon has a weekly deal called Prime Pantry, which includes free shipping on orders over $35. They offer discounts on beef roasts, ground beef, lamb steaks, and pork loins. You can easily browse their website to see what is available at different times.
- Local farmers will usually be cheaper than big-box retailers since they don't pay large fees to stock their shelves. They know exactly what the animals ate and drank to ensure they are fully informed about what is in their bodies.
- You should look for the leanest cuts of meat. Lean meat is typically cheaper to cook than fatty. Therefore, choose the leanest cuts. The most popular are sirloin or flank steak, tenderloin roasts, top round steak, and top roast steak. These cuts are high in protein and low in fat.
- Try new recipes - Don't be afraid to try new things! Start cooking with ingredients that you have never used before. This is one of the easiest ways reduce your grocery costs. You may be amazed at the variety of delicious dishes that you can make with fresh tomatoes, onions garlic, olive oil and spices.
- Remaining meat and poultry can be used for sandwiches, salads or soups. For quick lunches, leftover meat can be used to make dinners.
