In this post I'll share some tips and techniques for buying organic meat that won't break the bank.
I will give you tips on where to find cheap organic meats and how much they cost per pound. This will teach you how to get the most out of your purchase.
To eat well, you don't have to spend a lot. Sometimes it takes creativity to save money and eat well. Here are my top tips for keeping food costs down and still enjoying the many benefits of organic meat.
- Buy at wholesale clubs - Costco and Sams Club are great places to shop for bulk foods like chicken breasts and pork chops. If you're lucky enough to live near one of these stores, you can often get deals on large quantities of meat (up to 50 pounds). This way, you won't waste any meat. It's also possible to freeze meat purchased in bulk so that it lasts longer.
- Shop around online - Tons of websites sell meat at discounted prices. Amazon, for example, offers Prime Pantry, a weekly deal that includes free shipping on orders greater than $35 You can get discounts on ground beef, beef roasts, lamb steaks and pork loins. You can easily browse their website to see what is available at different times.
