They are designed to promote healthy skin, prevent premature wrinkles, heal injuries after they happen, and support overall wellbeing.

These are some terms that you might see when looking for organic products

  • Paraben Free- These are chemicals that help to keep certain cosmetics stable. But, they can also be toxic if taken in large quantities.
  • Fragrance-Free – The product does not contain essential oils or perfumes.
  • Cruelty Free - No animals were injured during the manufacturing process.
  • Natural Ingredients - the ingredient is naturally derived from the plant or animal.
  • Vegan/Vegetarian - the ingredients are either vegan or vegetarian.
  • Gluten-Free is a label that indicates that no gluten was added to the product.
  • Non-Toxic-The product doesn't contain any toxic chemicals, carcinogens, and/or other harmful substances that could be harmful to your health.
  • Biodegradable product - when thrown out, the product will disintegrate into harmless components.
  • Pesticide-Free - No pesticides have been used in the growing and harvesting process.
  • GMO-Free - this means that none of the ingredients in the product contains genetically modified organisms.
  • Certified Organic means all ingredients were grown in ways that preserve the soil, water and air.


How can you tell organic food from non-organic?

Ask any chef and he will tell you that fresh ingredients are the most important thing. That's because when we eat well, we feel better.

The same goes for our food. When we buy organics, we know exactly where it came from and how it was grown. We also know it was not treated using harmful chemicals.

Organic foods can be made without synthetic pesticides. Organic farmers aren't allowed to use these substances.

Growing organic crops is an art. There are many safe ways to grow them.

Sustainable agriculture is also known as organic farming. This means that organic farming does not use as many resources as conventional methods, but it still provides the essential nutrients needed to sustain life.

Organic farming practices include crop rotation, composting manure, cover cropping, and intercropping. These techniques reduce soil erosion and increase water quality.

They also reduce chemical runoff into waterways. Because most people live in urban areas, it is easy to find farms that grow organic produce.

There are two types of certification programs for organic products. The USDA National Organic Program certifies the one while the independent certifying agency certifies the other. Both require strict organic standards to be adhered to.

USDA seals and O Seals may be used to identify organic products that meet federal standards.

Our health is dependent on organic produce. It is the best option to ensure that we eat nutritious food. It's better for us and more sustainable because it doesn’t depend on pesticides or fertilizers.

However, organic food is good for our health. We all know how unhealthy processed foods can make us feel. However, organic fruits & vegetables aren’t treated with chemical sprays. That means that they taste fresher, look brighter and last longer too.
