Organic food has higher levels vitamins, minerals and antioxidants which makes it more delicious and nutritious. In addition, organics are usually grown without applying synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, which means they do not pollute our soil and water supply.

The USDA regulates organic farming practices and requires farmers to follow strict guidelines to ensure that organic produce is safe to eat. There are over 30,000,000 acres of US agricultural land that has been certified organic.

As an added benefit, organic food is often much cheaper than conventional food. The same amount of nutrients, calories, and protein is being offered by organic food, but consumers are often paying less. Organic farms are free to charge less for their crops, as they don't need to pay expensive chemical inputs such insecticides orfungicides.

In fact, according to the Environmental Working Group, organic food costs 10 percent less per pound than conventionally produced food. Organic food is an option if you want to improve your health and the health of your family.

Organic food is becoming a popular option to the standard American diet. It is often believed that organic food is exclusive to specialty markets and gourmet restaurants. Organic food can easily be found in any regular grocery store across the United States.

The sales of organic food have increased dramatically in recent years. The US market value of organic foods was $43Billion in 2012, up from $21B in 2007.

What's the difference between organic foods and inorganic food?

Organic food is produced without pesticides, chemical fertilizers, sewage sludge, irradiation, or genetic modification. Organic farming practices improve soil health and water quality as well as animal welfare.

Inorganic foods can be grown using pesticides, chemical fertilizers and sewage sludge. Radiated foods are those that have been exposed to radiation. Genetically modified organisms, or GMOs, are created using biological engineering techniques.

The term "natural", often used interchangeably to mean "organic," is frequently used. But, "natural" does not necessarily refer to organic. Products labelled "natural", however, may contain synthetic chemicals.

Organic produce is more nutritious than traditional produce due to the fact that it contains less harmful chemicals and pesticides. Organic farmers don't use any artificial fertilizers, hormones or antibiotics.


What is inorganic?

Organic food is grown without pesticides and artificial fertilizers. These chemicals can be harmful for your health.

Pastured/Freerange - Products made from animals who graze freely and are outdoors.

These labels are used to indicate that the product meets specified criteria.

  • No growth-promoting drugs
