How to Make a Garlic Pressure?
A garlic press can be one of the most important tools in a home cook's toolbox. It makes it easy to mince garlic into a paste, puree it into soups or salad dressings, or even make a sauce. It can also be used to crush whole garlic cloves into buttery spreads or garlic salt.
It's possible to be confused if you don’t yet own a garlicpress. Here are some tips to get you started.
First, get a large container. Place the bowl below the press and pour in the crushed garlic. Now, set the pressure regulator valve to the maximum.
Next, turn your handle clockwise to hear a click. The top end of the press should lift and reveal a flat area that allows you to slide your blade back and forth across the bowl. Continue to turn the handle counterclockwise, until the blades are closed.
Finally, take out the pressed garlic.
Here are some more ways to use this versatile instrument:
- Use minced garlic in soups, sauces and salads as a seasoning or even as a garnish.
- Use the press to crush whole garlic cloves into a buttery spread
