  • GMO-Free means that no ingredient in the product contains genetically modified organisms.
  • Certified Organic means that all of the ingredients in the formula were grown using methods that protect the soil, water, air, wildlife, and farmers.


Is organic food good for you?

There are two types. Those we grow or those we get from someone else. Although there are exceptions to each category, most of the answers to your question are yes. Organic food is healthier than conventional food because it doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. It also doesn’t contain preservatives or genetically modified organisms.

In supermarkets all over North America, Europe Asia, Latin America, Latin America, and Africa, you can find organic food. Many grocery stores now stock organic food. This makes it easier to shop organic.

Organic food tastes better and is more nutritious, as it has higher levels of vitamins and minerals. In addition, organics are usually grown without applying synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, which means they do not pollute our soil and water supply.

The USDA regulates organic farming practices. They require farmers to follow strict guidelines so that organic produce can be eaten safely. There are currently over 30 million acres of US farmland certified as organic.

Organic food can often be cheaper than conventional food. For the same amount, consumers pay less. Organic farms don't have the expense of expensive chemical inputs, such as insecticides and/or fungicides. They can charge lower prices.

According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), organic food actually costs 10% less per pound. Switching to organic food is a smart move if you care about your health and that of your family.

Organic food has become an increasingly popular alternative to American standard diets. It is often believed that organic food is exclusive to specialty markets and gourmet restaurants. Organic food can be purchased in most grocery stores across the United States.

In recent years, organic food sales have been on the rise. Organic food market value in the US increased from $21 billion to $43 billion in 2007 to reach $43 billion in 2012.


What are the benefits of organic farming?

Organic farming allows farmers to produce food using only natural methods. The farmers don't have to worry about pesticides causing harm to their crops and animals.

Organic farming can also use natural fertilizers. These fertilizers are good for plants that are healthy and reduce chemical waste.

Organic farming can also be environmentally friendly. To recycle nutrients back into soil, farmers often resort to composting. This reduces pollution and conserves valuable resources.

Organic farming can increase crop yields and help the environment. This is because organic farming requires less water to grow the crops.

Organic production methods result in farmers receiving higher prices. Consumers who are more aware about the dangers associated with pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and other chemicals will choose healthier foods.

This increases demand for organic food products. Organic farming has become increasingly popular.


What are my top priorities when buying organic products

USDA-certified organic label are desirable. This guarantee that the product has met specific standards set forth by USDA. You will find the USDA Organic seal on all boxes, cartons and cans.

When you shop for meat, ensure that it comes from cows who are fed organic feed. Cattle are ruminants. They eat the whole animal. Ruminant cattle are divided into four stomach compartments, the rumen and reticulum as well as the omasum and abmasum. To be labeled '100% organic, all animal parts must be organically nourished.

You should only purchase chicken that has been raised organically. It must not have ever been treated with antibiotics. Omnivore chickens can eat both plants as well as animals. Omnivorous chickens have a digestive system that includes a crop (proventriculus), gizzard and small intestine.

Buy only dairy products from cows that have been fed organically grown feed. Just like ruminants, dairy cows also have four stomachs. The fourth stomach compartment is the udder.

When purchasing other types of livestock, check the label to see what percentage of the diet the animals were fed. For example, pork may be labelled '95% organic.' This means 95 percent of the pig's feed came from organic sources.


Is organic the same as pesticide-free?

Organic food does not contain pesticides or chemicals and is therefore chemical-free. This means there is little or no exposure to chemicals such as fertilizers and herbicides.

Because organic produce does not contain harmful additives it has more nutrients that conventionally produced foods.

The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) requires farmers to follow strict guidelines for growing crops certified as organic.

These guidelines include soil preparation, crop rotating, pest control and water conservation.

In addition, organic farming methods promote healthy ecosystems, which benefit wildlife and natural habitats.


How do I find out if my produce's organic?

These three labels are essential if you want to be certain that you are purchasing organic produce.

USDA Organic Certified - Produce certified by the USDA as being 100% organic.

Certified Naturally Grown: Produce that has been grown in accordance with organic practices, but has yet to receive certification from USDA.

Pastured/Free Range - Produce from animals who live outdoors and graze freely on grass and herbs.

These labels signify that the product meets a specific set of criteria.

  • There are no genetically modified organisms
  • Animals are not given antibiotics.
  • Animals are not ever given hormones.
  • No growth-promoting drugs
  • No feed additives
  • No artificial ingredients

Are organic foods healthier?

According to the Environmental Working Group's latest report on pesticide residues in foods, organic fruits and vegetables had nearly half the level of pesticides compared with non-organic versions. This post will share some tips and tricks to help you buy organic meat without breaking the bank.

I will give you tips on where to find cheap organic meats and how much they cost per pound. You will be able to make the most of what you have purchased.

For healthy eating, you don’t have to spend a lot. Sometimes you need to be creative in order to save money and still eat healthy. Here are my suggestions for ways to cut food costs while still enjoying the benefits of organic meat.

  1. Buy bulk food at wholesale clubs. Sams Club and Costco both offer great options for buying bulk foods like pork chops and chicken breasts. You may be able to get large quantities of meat for as low as 50 pounds if your home is near one of these stores. This will ensure that you don't waste any meat. It's also possible to freeze meat purchased in bulk so that it lasts longer.
  2. Shopping online is easy - There are tons of websites that sell meat at reduced prices. For example, Amazon has a weekly deal called Prime Pantry, which includes free shipping on orders over $35. There are also discounts on lamb steaks (lamb steaks), ground beef, pork loins, and beef roasts. It's easy to browse their website and see what's available at different times.
  3. Local farmers will usually be cheaper than big-box retailers since they don't pay large fees to stock their shelves. They also know what their animals ate and drink so they can tell exactly what is inside.
  4. You should look for the leanest cuts of meat. Lean meat is typically cheaper to cook than fatty. So, look for the leanest cuts. The most common ones are sirloin steak, tenderloin roast, top round steak, and flank steak. These cuts have high protein and low fat.
