What are the 7 Indian spices that you can use?
Indian spices are a group of spices used in Indian food. They include coriander and turmeric as well as cardamom, cumin and coriander. Spices add flavour to dishes by blending natural ingredients like meats, vegetables and spices. Spices create unique flavour profiles, which make Indian cuisine so distinctive.
Cardamom's sweet, pungent flavor is balanced with ginger and citrus notes. It is used often to flavor curries and rice dishes such as biryani. Cumin has a strong, earthy aroma as well as a rich and nuanced flavor. It is used to spice up curries, dals and meat dishes. Coriander's sweet, citrus aroma adds a subtle sweetness to dishes. It is used often to season vegetables and lentils.
Turmeric has an earthy taste with mustard, spices, hints of pepper. This spice is often used in curries, and other dishes. It also has a golden hue. Fenugreek possesses a rich, earthy scent, slightly bitter flavour, and earthy tone tones. It is commonly used to season meat dishes, such as kebabs and curry. Ginger is pungent and spicy with hints of citrus. It can be used to spice up soups, curries and chutneys. Asafoetida is a spice that has strong flavors and a pungent smell.

Can you add spice into a drink
It's amazing how spices can add flavour and flavor to food. How do you make spices alive in drinks?
Spices can bring out the best of any beverage. Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to your favorite beverage, such as coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
But, since most recipes call to ground spices, you'll need whole spices. It makes sense but is time-consuming and expensive.
Here is where the magic happens. With a little creativity, you can make your favorite spices easy to use in powdered form. You can then mix the spices into your favorite beverages to make delicious spiced drinks.
Two ways can you make powders. A second method is to grind whole spices into fine powder. One method involves using a mortar-and-pestle to grind spices into a finer consistency.
Whatever method you choose to use, you will find that powders are much easier than whole spices. Plus, the powder keeps well so that you won't run out of stock.
You can even experiment with mixing different spices to create new flavours. For example, you could combine peppermint and spearmint leaves to make minty water. For spicy ginger tea, use ginger and cardamom capsules.
Once you've mastered making powdered spices, you can apply the same technique to herbs. Some of the most common herbs are basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano and sage.
The possibilities are endless. Powdered spices can enhance the flavor and texture of beverages, such as soups or salads, as well as the taste of pasta.
What kind of mint is used to make Thai food?
The most common type of mint used in Thai cuisine is lime-leaf mint (Mentha Cervina).
It has a mild, citrusy flavour that gives dishes a freshness and zing. Thai dishes can also be enhanced by adding other spices such galangal or coriander to their flavour.
Mint is a versatile herb that can be used in both sweet as well as savoury meals. For authentic Thai flavours, you must use the right spices and herbs.
For extra flavor, make sure to add lime-leaf mint next time you prepare a Thai meal!
Happy cooking!

How to Store Spices
Keep them in an airtight container away from light and heat.
Place them in a dark cupboard to store spices for extended periods. This will keep the spices fresh and prevent any oxidation.
Keep spices dry and away from sunlight in a cool, dry place. If the spice is placed near a heater or window, it may lose its flavour and aroma.
Spices need to be kept in an airtight glass container or tin. If you are storing your spices in plastic containers, ensure there is no moisture.
After opening the seal, make sure to inspect it again. Humidity can cause spoilage.
Don't toss out any leftover spices. Use them instead by adding them into other dishes. To extend their shelf life, you can freeze them.

To avoid oxidation, spices must be kept in dark cupboards. If these conditions are not met, spices will quickly lose their flavour.
Keep spices in airtight containers away from direct sun to preserve their flavour.
You can add herbs and spices to water to make a flavoured drink. Mix 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon with 1/2 cup of warm liquid and stir. Serve immediately with a squeeze of lemon.
Add dried herbs and spices to soups. Spread the spice mixture evenly onto the dish. Allow it to sit for between 5-10 minutes before serving.
You can add leftover cooked vegetables, fruits, meats and shellfish to your favorite recipes as snacks.
You can enjoy the fresh flavours of fresh herbs or spices by chopping them up and adding them to food while they are still hot. You can also freeze herbs and spices by placing them in ice cube trays or muffin cups and freezing them. Once frozen, place them in freezer bags or zip-top bags.
