What's the Difference Between Cooking With Whole vs. Ground Spices?

There are no differences between cooking with whole spices or ground spices. After harvesting, all spices are ground. There is no quality difference.

However, the price differences are significant. Whole spices are more expensive due to the labour required for processing them. However, the flavor is worth it.

When you buy bulk spices, you may get additional discounts. For example, you might receive a discount if you buy an entire bag of cinnamon sticks.

The same goes for nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom, etc. If you purchase these spices in bulk, you may be able to save money.

How to Make a Garlic Pressure?

A garlic press is an essential tool for any home cook. It can be used to quickly mince garlic into a paste. It is great for crushing whole garlic cloves in a buttery spread, or garlic salt.

It's possible to be confused if you don’t yet own a garlicpress. Here are some tips to get you started.

First, get a large container. Place the bowl underneath the press and pour the crushed garlic into it. Now, set the pressure regulator valve to the maximum.

Next, turn the handle counterclockwise until you hear a click. The top portion of the press should come off, revealing a flat surface. You can slide the blade across the bowl. Continue to turn the handle counterclockwise, until the blades are closed.

Finally, remove the pressed garlic.
