In this post I'll share some tips and techniques for buying organic meat that won't break the bank.

I will give you tips on where to find cheap organic meats and how much they cost per pound. You will be able to make the most of what you have purchased.

It doesn't take a lot to eat healthy. Sometimes you need to be creative in order to save money and still eat healthy. Here's my list to help you keep food costs low while still enjoying all the health benefits of organic meat.

  1. Buy bulk food at wholesale clubs. Sams Club and Costco both offer great options for buying bulk foods like pork chops and chicken breasts. If you're lucky enough to live near one of these stores, you can often get deals on large quantities of meat (up to 50 pounds). This will ensure that you don't waste any meat. You can also freeze the meat if you buy it bulk.
  2. You can shop online for meat at great prices. Amazon offers Prime Pantry, a weekly deal with free shipping on orders above $35. They offer discounts for beef roasts and ground beef as well as lamb steaks, lamb steaks, pork loins, and other items. It is easy to browse their website and check out what is on offer at different times.
  3. Locate a farmer in your area. Local farmers are usually cheaper than big box retailers as they don’t pay high stocking fees. Because they know exactly the diets and drinks of their animals, local farmers can provide a better understanding of what's inside.
  4. Look for lean cuts of meat. Fatty meats are generally more expensive to cook. So, look for the leanest cuts. The most popular cuts are flank steak, sirloin steak and tenderloin roast. These cuts have high protein and low fat.
