What are 7 Indian spices?
Indian spices are a group of spices used in Indian food. They typically include cardamom, cumin, coriander, turmeric, fenugreek, ginger, and asafoetida (also known as hing). Spices add flavour to dishes by blending natural ingredients like meats, vegetables and spices. The unique flavour profiles created by spices are what make Indian cooking special.
Cardamom has a sweet and pungent taste with hints of citrus and ginger. It is commonly used to flavour rice dishes like biryani and curries. Cumin has an earthy aroma and a rich, nutty flavour. It is used to spice up curries, dals and meat dishes. Coriander gives dishes a mild nuttiness due to its sweet citrus aroma. It is used to season lentils and vegetables.
Turmeric has an earthy, spicy flavour that includes mustard, spices and pepper hints. This spice is popularly used in curries as well as other dishes. Fenugreek has an earthy aroma, a slight bitter flavor, and earthy tones. It is often used in seasoning meat dishes like kebabs, curries, and kebabs. Ginger is spicy and pungent, with hints citrus. It gives a great kick to soups, curries, and chutneys. Asafoetida is a spice that has strong flavors and a pungent smell.
These spices are a unique combination that creates Indian cuisine.
What mint is used for Thai food?
Thai cuisine's most used type is lime-leaf, or Mentha cervina.
It is mild and lemony in flavour, which adds freshness as well as zing to dishes. Thai dishes are enhanced with other spices, such as galangal and coriander.
Mint is a versatile herb that can be used in both sweet as well as savoury meals. For authentic Thai flavours, you must use the right spices and herbs.
Next time you make Thai food, add some lime-leafmint for more flavor!

These ingredients can be found in almost all dishes. These spices lend a unique flavour to dishes such dal (lentils), curries chutneys pickles rice, bread and sweets.
Health benefits can also be attained from spices. One example is turmeric, which helps fight cancer cells. Bad breath is prevented by cloves. Black pepper decreases cholesterol. Cinnamon lowers blood pressure. And ginger aids digestion.
A spice rack can be a wonderful kitchen tool, as it allows for you to try different flavors. You have the option to make your own mixes of spices, or you can buy ready-made ones that include all the essential spices.
Some people are against adding spices to their food. These people believe spices are a masking agent and do not enhance natural flavors. There is nothing wrong with adding salt or pepper to enhance the flavor of your meals.

How To Make A Garlic Press?
A garlic press is a valuable tool in every home cook's kitchen. It allows you to efficiently mince garlic into a paste or puree it into a smooth sauce, soup, or salad dressing. It is great for crushing whole garlic cloves in a buttery spread, or garlic salt.
It's possible to be confused if you don’t yet own a garlicpress. These tips will help you get started.
First things first: you'll need a large bowl. Place the bowl below the press and pour in the crushed garlic. Now, set the pressure regulator valve to the maximum.
Next, turn the handle counterclockwise until you hear a click. The top of the press should lift up and expose a flat surface. This will allow you slide the blade back-and-forth over the bowl. Continue to turn the handle counterclockwise, until the blades are closed.
Finally, take out the pressed ginger and enjoy!
These are just a few of the many ways you can use this versatile tool.
- Make minced garlic soups, sauces for salads, dips and seasonings.
- To crush whole garlic cloves, use the press to create a buttery spread
- Make pizza dough by crushing whole cloves.
- Blend roasted garlic into mashed potatoes or creamy polenta
- Use the press to mash garlic into homemade pesto
- Puree garlic in a smooth vinaigrette
