Elevating the everyday is our mission. At Belovedsaffron.com, we think the world deserves more than conventional cuisines — and more than take-out from chains. Our goal is to celebrate cultural flavours through spices, herbs and organic food from sustainable farming.

Saffron is our love affair; a culinary crescendo that evokes a warmth of its own. But cooking is so much more than a single ingredient — it’s also about respect. It’s about respecting people from different cultures who dedicate their lives to creating something extraordinary with every dish they serve; family meals or five-star restaurants alike.

And that’s why we’re inviting everyone to join us – to share their recipes, explore new flavors and be part of something special. We know everyone has something delicious to offer!

For now, love yourself and enjoy this one ...

Enjoy this beautiful cooking recipe now and try it at home ;)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is organic food?

Organic produce is produced without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. There are no growth hormones used and animal testing is not performed. These crops are allowed natural growth, so farmers don't use chemicals to kill pests and weeds.

Organic farming practices help maintain soil quality and reduce erosion. Organics are also better for your health as they contain more nutrients that conventional food. Organic products tend to be higher in fiber and lower fat than conventionally produced foods.

What are some things I should look out for when purchasing organic goods?

USDA-certified organic label are desirable. This guarantee that the product has met specific standards set forth by USDA. You will find the USDA Organic seal on all boxes, cartons and cans.

When buying meat, make sure it is from organically fed cows. Cattle are ruminants. This means they chew the cud. Ruminant cattle are divided into four stomach compartments, the rumen and reticulum as well as the omasum and abmasum. If a cow is to be labeled organically, all parts must be organically fed.

Make sure you only buy chicken from chicken farms that are fed organically and have never been given antibiotics. Chickens are omnivores. This means they can eat both plant and animal food. The digestive tract of an omnivorous chicken is composed of a crop and proventriculus, gizzard as well as small intestine, large intestinale, and anus.

It is important to ensure that dairy products are from cows that were fed 100% organic feed. Just like ruminants have four stomachs, dairy cows have four. The fourth stomach compartment--the cow's udder--is where milk is produced.

Check the label when purchasing livestock of any other type to find out what percentage was used in the animal's diet. Pork may be labeled "95% Organic" which means that 95 percent of its feed was organic.

Which are the best organic vegetables?

Organic vegetables are the best and most nutritious food source. They are the best food on earth.

Organic produce is organically grown without pesticides. These chemicals can be dangerous to our environment as well as our health.

Organic produce is also richer in nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Because we absorb these nutrients better from organic foods, this makes them healthier.

Organic vegetables taste great and are safe to eat. Consuming organic produce has no known side effects.

You can find organic fruits and veggies at any grocery store. They can be labeled organic if they are grown according to USDA guidelines.

What are organic products for the skin?

Organic skincare products contain no synthetic chemicals, including parabens. Phthalates, mineral oil. Petroleum jelly. Propylene glycol. sodium lauryl.sulphate. Talc. triclosan. Titanium dioxide. triethanolamine. vitamin A palmitate.

Organic skincare products are also free of artificial colours, fragrances, preservatives, emulsifiers, GMOs, petrochemicals, animal testing (except cosmetics tested on animals), pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, heavy metals, and other contaminants.

They also help to preserve healthy skin and prevent premature aging.

These are some standard terms you might come across when shopping for organic items:

  • Paraben Free - these are a group of chemicals used to keep certain cosmetic products stable, but they can be toxic if consumed in large quantities.
  • Fragrance Free - The product is not scented with essential oils.
  • Cruelty Free - No animals were injured during the manufacturing process.
  • Natural Ingredients – The ingredient is naturally derived either from a plant or an animal.
  • Vegetarian/Vegetarian - All ingredients are vegan or vegetarian.
  • Gluten-Free - This means that gluten has been removed from the formulation.
  • Non-Toxic - The product doesn't contain toxins, carcinogens, or other dangerous compounds that could harm your health.
  • Biodegradable: The product will be discarded as harmless components.
  • Pesticide Free – There were no pesticides used during the harvesting or growing process.
  • GMO-Free is a declaration that the product does not contain genetically modified organisms.
  • Certified Organic means that all of the ingredients in the formula were grown using methods that protect the soil, water, air, wildlife, and farmers.

What is organic meat?

Organic meat refers to real food grown without the use artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or hormones. It also means the animals were not fed any genetically modified foods. The meat is safe to consume because it contains no harmful chemicals.

Organic meats are also better for our environment. When we eat organic foods, we reduce the pollution in landfills, rivers, lakes, etc. Organic farmers don't use harmful chemicals to kill birds and insects, which helps wildlife.

The best way to ensure that you eat healthy organic meats is to buy them locally whenever possible. Local buying helps to keep money in the community, rather than moving out of state. Local businesses often pass down savings to customers when they shop locally. Buy local to save jobs and not send them overseas.

Are organic foods healthier?

According to the Environmental Working Group, organic vegetables and fruits had half the amount of pesticides as non-organic. They found that organic apples contained eight times fewer pesticides than non-organic apples, while organic strawberries were four times cleaner than their conventional counterparts.

Another study suggests that organic food can reduce exposure to toxic metals such as lead and mercury. For example, one study showed that children who ate organic meat had 33 percent lower blood lead levels than those who didn't consume organic meats. A second study found that conventional fish should be avoided by pregnant women due to the high levels of mercury.

Overall, organic food does seem to be safer than its non-organic counterpart. Experts recommend fresh vegetables and fruits whenever possible in order to reduce the risk of getting cancer.

Statistics

  • As for organic meat, regulations require that animals be raised in living conditions that accommodate their natural behaviours (like the ability to graze on pasture), fed 100% organic feed and forage, and not administered antibiotics or hormones. (usda.gov)
  • To provide the highest quality products and services to every customer, with a dedicated workforce that puts the customer first and takes the extra step to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and loyalty. (hollinsorganic.com)
  • Brands participating in this challenge are committed to using 100 percent sustainable cotton by 2025.[5] (en.wikipedia.org)
  • According to a study performed by consumerreports.org, organic products, compared to non-organic products, ranged anywhere from 13 percent cheaper to 303 percent more expensive. (en.wikipedia.org)

How To

What happens to your body when you switch to organic products?

Organic products can be grown without synthetic fertilizers, hormones or antibiotics. They come from clean water sources and free-range animals. The term "organic" means they do not contain any chemicals or additives. This product was naturally produced and contains no harmful chemicals.

Natural refers to the way food was grown. It's used to describe foods that have not been altered into their final form (e.g. fruits). Natural foods are more fresh than other foods because they have not been subject to heat, radiation or chemical preservatives. Natural doesn't necessarily have to be healthy, however. Experts aren't sure if there is much to be different between organic and traditional foods. Both types have been tested for quality and safety. Organic produce contains fewer pesticide and other pollutants than conventionally-grown produce.

Most grocery shops now carry organic options. You can find organic meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood at your local market. Some companies offer only organic products while others have separate sections. Look for USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Biodynamic Association Certified, Rainforest Alliance Certified, etc.

You should avoid eating these items if you are pregnant or nursing. Unborn babies and infants can be affected by pesticides.
