There isn't any difference between cooking with whole spices and ground spices. All spices are ground after harvesting. This ensures that there are no differences in the quality of spices.
The price difference is however significant. Because of the labor involved in making whole spices, they cost more. But the flavour is well worth it.
Buy whole spices and you'll often receive additional discounts. An example: If you buy an entire bag full of cinnamon sticks, you might get a discount.
The same is true for nutmeg cloves ginger, cardamom, and ginger. You might be able to save money by buying these spices in bulk.
Ground spices are also more durable than whole spices. Ground spices quickly lose their potency due to oxidation.
But the main reason why we recommend purchasing whole spices is that they add a lot of character to recipes.
You can make a delicious curry by using whole turmeric in place of ground turmeric. You can also grind whole coriander leaves to make a spice mix for chicken dishes.
Grinding spices takes time. If you're buying whole spices it makes sense for you to buy large quantities. You won't run low on spices if you buy large quantities.
What are the principal Flavours in Thai Cuisine?
Thai cuisine includes several distinct regional cuisines. These include Northern, Central, Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northeastern Thai food. Each region has a distinct flavour profile.
The most common flavours in Thai food are sweet, salty, sour, spicy, bitter, pungent, and nutty.
Sweetness is essential for Thais because it makes the dishes palatable. Thai cuisine has a lot of sweet ingredients such as coconut milk and palm sugar (gula Melaka).
Thailand is also known for its sourness. Hot dishes often pair well with sour foods. This helps to balance the heat.
Thai food includes spicy food. Spices such as chilli pepper, galangal, ginger root, and garlic are used extensively in Thai recipes.
Is Thai cooking made with garlic?
Thai cuisine uses garlic. Garlic is often added to dishes such as salads, soups, stir-fries, curries, sauces, and rice.
In Thailand, garlic can be chopped and fried along with ginger and shallots. Also, you can eat it with sticky white rice.

Almond Flour or Almond Meal? What is the difference?
As an almond flour alternative, an almond meal is more versatile because it can be used for baking, cooking, and even making nut-free dishes.
Almond flour might also contain gluten, which can make it hard to digest. If you have celiac disease or another digestive disorder, it's essential to avoid gluten-free foods.
While almond flour isn't considered a "superfood" per se, it contains healthy fats, fibre, protein, and vitamin E. It's also low in calories and sodium and contains no cholesterol.
The almond meal offers many nutritional benefits including iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese (thiamin), calcium, vitamin A, B1 and Vitamin C.
Because it's made from almonds, almond flour contains monounsaturated fatty acids, while almond oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids. Both types help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and increase HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
Almond flour is also rich in antioxidants such as flavonoids and phenolics. These compounds protect against free radical-induced oxidative harm.
In a study published in Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry, almond flour was found to have an antioxidant activity comparable to blueberries, cranberries or pomegranates and red wine grapes juice.
Almond flour is typically sold along with almond milk, which is fortified to add additional nutrients.

It may be that adding a few drops to your bowl of soup makes it more flavorful. You could also add a few cayenne peppers to a cup of rice.
