We Tried The SPICIEST Foods...

Elevating the everyday is our mission. At Belovedsaffron.com, we think the world deserves more than conventional cuisines — and more than take-out from chains. Our goal is to celebrate cultural flavours through spices, herbs and organic food from sustainable farming.

Saffron is our love affair; a culinary crescendo that evokes a warmth of its own. But cooking is so much more than a single ingredient — it’s also about respect. It’s about respecting people from different cultures who dedicate their lives to creating something extraordinary with every dish they serve; family meals or five-star restaurants alike.

And that’s why we’re inviting everyone to join us – to share their recipes, explore new flavors and be part of something special. We know everyone has something delicious to offer!

For now, love yourself and enjoy this one ...

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the most common spices, condiments and seasonings that Thais use in their cuisine?

Thai cuisine is a combination of influences from all over Asia. It is rooted in India and China along with Southeast Asia.

Freshness is the key ingredient in Thai cuisine. Ingredients that are quickly cooked and picked at the right time will have more flavour. This is why meats, fish, vegetables and fruits are often eaten raw and hot.

Spices and sauces enhance the flavor and complexity of dishes. Fresh basil, cilantro, mint, coriander (cilantro), lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, garlic, chillies, chilli paste, soy sauce, tamarind juice, oyster sauce, palm sugar, coconut milk, lime leaves, galangal root, curry powder, shrimp paste, fish sauce, tamarind water, rice vinegar, etc. are used frequently.

Is Thai cooking made with garlic?

Thai cuisine makes use of garlic. Garlic is used often in Thai cuisine, such as soups, stir fries, curries, sauces, and salads.

Garlic is often fried in Thailand with ginger, shallots, and other spices. You can also eat it with sticky rice.

Garlic can be eaten in a variety of ways. This mixture is known as Nam Phrik (namphrik). Nam Phrik is often served alongside grilled chicken, beef, or pork.

What are the 7 Indian spices you use?

Indian spices are a group of spices used in Indian food. They typically include cardamom, cumin, coriander, turmeric, fenugreek, ginger, and asafoetida (also known as hing). The spices are used to enhance the flavour and aroma of foods by combining and complementing natural ingredients, such as meats or vegetables. These spices combine to create distinctive flavour profiles which are the hallmark of Indian cooking.

Cardamom has a pungent, sweet taste with hints o citrus and ginger. It is often used to flavour curries and rice dishes like biryani. Cumin has a strong, earthy aroma as well as a rich and nuanced flavor. It is commonly added to curries and meat dishes, as well as dals. Coriander has a sweet citrus aroma and adds a subtle nuttiness to dishes. It is often used to season vegetables and lentils.

Turmeric has an earthy flavour with mustard, spices, and pepper hints. This spice is used in curries and other dishes. It has a golden color. Fenugreek's aroma is rich and has earthy tones. Fenugreek is used to season meat dishes such as kebabs or curries. Ginger is pungent and spicy with hints o citrus. It adds a spicy kick to dishes like soups and chutneys. Asafoetida (hing), has a strong flavor and pungent smell that can be used in place of onion and garlic in certain recipes.

These spices are a unique combination that creates Indian cuisine.

What kind of mint are used in Thai cuisine?

Thai cuisine has the most widespread use of lime-leaf mint (Mentha certvina).

It is mild and lemony in flavour, which adds freshness as well as zing to dishes. Thai dishes are enhanced with other spices, such as galangal and coriander.

Mint can be used in sweet or savoury dishes. To achieve authentic Thai flavours, it is important to use the right spices, herbs and aromatics.

Make a Thai dish next time and add some lime-leaf mint to give it extra flavor.

Happy cooking!

What is the most popular ingredient in Thai cooking?

In Thailand, two main ingredients make up the heart of all dishes: rice and curry. These two elements combine to create a memorable flavor.

The combination is called "Khao Pad Krai" in Thailand. This means that when two simple foods are combined, they can become irresistible and delicious.

The same is true of your personal life. You can achieve great success if you combine the right two ingredients - hard work and perseverance.

The right ingredients can make you successful, like Khao Pad Krai: passion and purpose. Combining them will produce something special.

Remember that Thai food doesn't just require rice and curry. Next time you feel the urge to eat Thai food, think about how much more it can be than just rice. Have fun with it!

How To

Are you a master of making curry paste?

Curry paste includes dried chillies (scallions, shallots), galangal root and lemongrass as well as kaffir lime leaves, garlic, shrimp pastes, sugar, salt and sometimes coconut milk. It's a common ingredient in Thai cuisine.

Curry paste is one of the most popular condiments in Southeast Asia. It gives many dishes a unique taste, including curries, soups stir-fries, stir-fries and salads.

It is very easy to make it at home. Just follow our step-by-step guide below:

Step1 - Prepare Ingredients

  • Before starting the recipe, you will need to prepare all ingredients.
  • Peel and chop shallots (about two cups). Cut galangal root in small pieces, about 3 inches long. Set aside.
  • Next, peel and slice garlic cloves (about four cloves). The lemongrass stems should be roughly 1/2 inch thick.
  • Crush the red chilli peppers with about four tablespoons of water and remove the seeds.
  • Cut the kaffirlime leaves into small strips, approximately 5 inches in length. Take out the white part and place it in a bowl.
  • After draining the shrimp paste, wash it well and then coarsely smash it.
  • Last, take out the salt and sugar.

Step2 - Grind Ingredients

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth
  • It should have a texture similar to peanut butter.
  • Not to worry if the dish contains too much oil, you can use water to replace it.

Step3 - Add Coconut Milk

  • Add coconut milk to the mixture, and mix well.
  • Slowly add coconut milk to ensure that the paste doesn't become too sticky.
  • If you prefer less spice, add less chillies to the recipe and more galangalroot.
  • If you prefer it spicy, add more chillies or less galangal roots. You should enjoy the final product.

Step4 - Serve

  • Serve with your favourite foods.
  • Enjoy!
