What is the difference between cooking with whole spices and using ground spices? Ground Spices?

There is no difference in cooking with whole spices and cooked with ground spices. After harvesting, all spices are ground. There is no quality difference.

However, the price difference is substantial. Whole spices are more expensive due to the labour required for processing them. The flavor is well worth the effort.

If you purchase whole spices in bulk, you might get an additional discount. For example, you might receive a discount if you buy an entire bag of cinnamon sticks.

The same is true for nutmeg cloves ginger, cardamom, and ginger. You might be able to save money by buying these spices in bulk.

Whole spices also last longer than ground spices. Ground spices lose their potency rapidly due to oxygenation.

But the main reason why we recommend purchasing whole spices is that they add a lot of character to recipes.

A delicious curry can be made with whole turmeric as opposed to ground turmeric. You can also grind whole coriander leaves to make a spice mix for chicken dishes.

It takes time to grind spices. A large amount of whole spices is a good idea. That way, you won't run out of spices too fast.

What's the difference of curry and curried

There is no difference in spelling. Both terms refer to the exact same thing: An Indian dish that combines meat and vegetables with different seasonings.

Curry derives its name from the Hindi word kari which means "to rub." The spice mixture is then applied to the food. Curried foods are generally cooked until they become golden.

Although curried dishes used to be reserved for special occasions, today they are enjoyed all over India. They can include chicken, beef, lamb, fish, vegetables, and rice.

Plain white rice is usually served with curried dishes. Other common accompaniments include raita (a yogurt sauce) and chutney (a sweet relish).

A garlic press is an essential tool for any home cook. You can quickly mince garlic or make a paste. It is also useful for crushing whole cloves of garlic into buttery spreads and garlic salt.

But if you don't own a garlic press yet, you might wonder where to start with one. Luckily, we've got some tips to help you get started.

First of all, you'll need to get a large bowl. Then, place the bowl under the press and add the crushed garlic. Now, adjust the pressure regulator valve until it reaches maximum.

Next, move the handle clockwise so that you hear a click. The top portion of the press should come off, revealing a flat surface. You can slide the blade across the bowl. Continue turning the handle counterclockwise to close the blades.

Finally, remove the pressed garlic and enjoy!

Here are some ways to make this versatile tool even more useful:

  • Add minced garlic to soups, sauces, salads, and dips (or even as a seasoning)
