How to Make PENNE all'ARRABBIATA Like an Italian (The Angry Spicy Pasta Recipe)

Elevating the everyday is our mission. At Belovedsaffron.com, we think the world deserves more than conventional cuisines — and more than take-out from chains. Our goal is to celebrate cultural flavours through spices, herbs and organic food from sustainable farming.

Saffron is our love affair; a culinary crescendo that evokes a warmth of its own. But cooking is so much more than a single ingredient — it’s also about respect. It’s about respecting people from different cultures who dedicate their lives to creating something extraordinary with every dish they serve; family meals or five-star restaurants alike.

And that’s why we’re inviting everyone to join us – to share their recipes, explore new flavors and be part of something special. We know everyone has something delicious to offer!

For now, love yourself and enjoy this one ...

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference in cooking with whole vs. ground spices? Ground Spices?

There is no difference between cooking whole spices and with ground spices. After harvesting, all spices are ground. This ensures that there are no differences in the quality of spices.

But the price gap is significant. Whole spices are more expensive due to the labour required for processing them. But the taste is worth it.

When you buy bulk spices, you may get additional discounts. For example, you might receive a discount if you buy an entire bag of cinnamon sticks.

This is true for cloves, ginger and cardamom. You might be able to save money by buying these spices in bulk.

Whole spices also last longer than ground spices. Ground spices lose their potency rapidly due to oxygenation.

We recommend buying whole spices because they add flavor to your recipes.

For instance, you can make a delicious curry with whole turmeric instead of ground turmeric. You can also use whole coriander to create a spice combination for chicken dishes.

Additionally, spices need to be ground. It makes sense to purchase large quantities of whole spices when you are buying them. That way, you won't run out of spices too fast.

What's the difference of curry and curried

There is no difference in spelling. Both words refer to the same thing: an Indian dish combining meat or vegetables with various seasonings.

Curry is derived in Hindi from kari, which means to rub. This refers the way that the spice mix is applied onto the food. Curry is typically prepared until the food is golden brown.

Curried dishes are no longer reserved for special occasions. They're now commonplace in India. You can choose from chicken, beef, lamb or fish as well as vegetables and rice.

Curried dishes can be served alongside plain white or brown rice. Other common accompaniments include raita (a yogurt sauce) and chutney (a sweet relish).

Almond Flour vs. Almond Meal: What's the Difference?

As an almond flour alternative, an almond meal is more versatile because it can be used for baking, cooking, and even making nut-free dishes.

Almond flour may also contain gluten, making it difficult to digest. It's important to avoid gluten-free diets if your condition is celiac.

Almond flour may not be considered a "superfood", per se, but it contains healthy fats as well as fibre, protein and vitamin E.

The nutritional benefits of the almond meal include magnesium, copper, iron, zinc, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and vitamins A, B1 (thiamin), and C. In addition, it provides 25 percent of the daily value for folate, 20 percent for niacin, 15 percent for pantothenic acid, and 5 percent for riboflavin.

Almond flour, made from almonds contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated oil. Both types help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels and increase HDL (good) cholesterol levels.

Almond flour also contains antioxidants like phenolics and flavonoids. These compounds protect against oxidative damage caused by free radicals.

The Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry published a study that found almond flour to have the same antioxidant activity as blueberries, cranberries and pomegranates.

Almond milk is often sold with almond flour, which has been fortified with additional nutrients.

Which ten spices are most in demand?

Spices can be used in food and drink flavoring. Some spices are more popular than others. There are many varieties of spices. Let's look at the ten most beloved spices and discover why they are so loved.

Because spices add flavour and aroma to food, they are essential for cooking. Many spices are rich in essential vitamins and minerals that help keep our bodies strong.

Here's a list of the ten most popular spices.

  1. Cinnamon - This spice is known to improve digestion and lower cholesterol levels. It also helps to prevent colds and flu.
  2. Garlic – This spice aids in fighting infections and boosts immunity. It is also good for digestion and lowers blood sugar.
  3. Oregano: This spice improves athletic performance and energy levels. It fights infection and improves memory.
  4. Black Pepper -This spice is full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to reduce stress and heart diseases.
  5. Basil -Basil contains vitamin K, calcium, and iron. It also helps fight cancer cells and boosts metabolism.
  6. Vinegar and salt - They make a great combination. Both salt and vinegar are very effective against bacteria and viruses.
  7. Cloves- Clove oil - This natural remedy is great for sore throats, toothaches, and even sore throats. It helps to ease muscle spasms.
  8. Ginger - Ginger has been proven to ease nausea and morning sickness during pregnancy. It also helps clear congestion from your sinuses.
  9. Curry Powder - Curries are a classic from ancient times. They were initially made with coconut milk, but we now use different oils or ghee bases.
  10. Turmeric - One of the oldest medicinal herbs.

You can add flavour to your next meal by using these ten most popular spices in place of salt. You might be surprised at the results.

How to Store Spices

They should be kept out of direct sunlight and heat in an airtight container.

You can store them for long periods in a dark cupboard. This will help preserve the spices and prevent oxidation.

Keep spices dry and away from sunlight in a cool, dry place. A heater or window can cause the spice to lose its aroma and flavour.

Spices are best stored in an airtight glass jar or tin. Avoid storing spices in plastic containers.

After opening the seal, make sure to inspect it again. Humidity can cause spoilage.

You don't have to throw out leftover spices. Make sure to use leftover spices in other recipes. They can be frozen to prolong their shelf-life.

What is the most well-known ingredient in Thai cuisine?

In Thailand, two main ingredients make up the heart of all dishes: rice and curry. These two essential elements come together to create an unforgettable flavor.

In Thailand, we call this combination "Khao Pad Krai," which means 'the best dish.' This is because when these two basic foods are combined into a single dish, they become incredibly delicious and irresistible.

This is true for all aspects of life. You can achieve great success if you combine the right two ingredients - hard work and perseverance.

Combining passion and purpose, as Khao Pad Krai has shown, can help you succeed. Combining them will produce something special.

Remember that Thai food doesn't just require rice and curry. Next time you feel the urge to eat Thai food, think about how much more it can be than just rice. Try experimenting with other ingredients and see how much fun it can be!

What spices are used for Thai cooking?

Thai cuisine is well-known for its rich flavour profiles. These flavours come from unique and flavorful spices that create various delicious dishes.

Thai cooking uses many common ingredients, including galangal kaffir lime leaf, galangal kaffir lemon leaves, chillies, chillies, garlic, shrimp paste, cumin, turmeric, and many more.

Each spice adds to Thai cuisine's distinct flavour profile. The most common uses of lemongrass are in soups, curries, stews, and galangal; galangal is used to add a little peppery kick to dishes, kaffir lime leaves give dishes a citrusy scent, chillies are spicy; shrimp paste gives food an umami flavour; garlic provides a sharp, pungent flavor; cilantro adds a mild aroma to dishes, cumin lends a smoky taste, while turmeric gives dishes a vibrant yellow hue.

These spices create complex flavour profiles that are unique to Thai cuisine. By using a combination of spices, chefs can create dishes that are both flavorful and aromatic. Stock up on these spices if you want to incorporate the Thai flavours into your cooking.

How to Make a Garlic Pressure?

A garlic presse is an indispensable tool for home chefs. You can quickly mince garlic or make a paste. It's also great for crushing whole garlic cloves into a buttery spread or garlic salt.

It's possible to be confused if you don’t yet own a garlicpress. Here are some tips to get you started.

First, you will need a large bowl. Place the bowl below the press and pour in the crushed garlic. Now, adjust the pressure regulator valve until it reaches maximum.

Next, turn the handle clockwise until you hear a click. The top portion of the press should come off, revealing a flat surface. You can slide the blade across the bowl. Continue turning the handle counterclockwise to close the blades.

Finally, take out the pressed ginger and enjoy!

Here are some other ways to use this versatile tool:

  • Add minced garlic to soups, sauces, salads, and dips (or even as a seasoning)
  • You can crush whole garlic cloves using the press to make a buttery spread
  • Put whole garlic cloves on top of pizza dough, before you bake
  • Blend roasted garlic into mashed potatoes or creamy polenta
  • Use the press to make homemade pesto out of garlic
  • Puree garlic and make a smooth dressing
