  • White sesame seeds, 1 tsp
  • 2 tbsp of sesame oil
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper pinch
  • Half a tbsp of green onions, , sliced
  • Lime wedges as a garnish

How to store ahi Tuna

Allow the tuna steak to cool completely. Wrap the tuna steak in aluminum or plastic or place it in an airtight jar. Eat the fish within two days. The quality of the fish will diminish if you leave it out for too long. You can also freeze fish. Wrap the fish in plastic or aluminum to prevent freezer burn. Then place it in a container that is airtight. You can keep it for up to three months, but I recommend eating it within two weeks.

Thaw the fish overnight in the refrigerator before you plan to eat. If the fish smells bad, is slimy, or has a pale color, you should discard it.

Curry paste includes dried chillies (scallions, shallots), galangal root and lemongrass as well as kaffir lime leaves, garlic, shrimp pastes, sugar, salt and sometimes coconut milk. It is an important ingredient in Thai cuisine.

Curry paste is one of the most popular condiments in Southeast Asia. This unique flavor can be added to many dishes including curries, soups and stir-fries as well as rice dishes, noodles, desserts, and rice dishes.

It's easy to make at-home! Follow the steps below to make it easy!

Step1 - Prepare Ingredients

  • Before starting the recipe, you will need to prepare all ingredients.
  • Start by peeling and chopping shallots (about 2 cups). Cut galangal root in small pieces, about 3 inches long. Set aside.
  • Next, cut four garlic cloves into pieces. Finely chop the lemongrass stems to about 1/2 inch in thickness.
  • After that, you will need to crush dried red chili peppers (about four tablespoons) before removing the seeds (optional).
  • Cut the kaffirlime leaves into small strips, approximately 5 inches in length. The white part of your stem should be removed and put aside.
  • Then drain the shrimp paste (6 ounces) and then coarsely mash it.
  • Measure out the sugar and salt.

Step2 - Grind Ingredients

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth
  • The texture should look similar to peanut-butter.
  • Note: if you want to reduce the amount of oil in the dish, you can substitute some water for some of the oil.

Step3 - Add Coconut Milk

  • Add coconut milk to the mixture, and mix well.
  • To prevent the coconut milk from becoming too sticky, slowly add it.
  • If you prefer less spice, add less chillies to the recipe and more galangalroot.
  • For a more spicy taste, increase the amount of chillies and reduce the use of galangal root. The end result should be delicious.
