Saffron is our love affair; a culinary crescendo that evokes a warmth of its own. But cooking is so much more than a single ingredient — it’s also about respect. It’s about respecting people from different cultures who dedicate their lives to creating something extraordinary with every dish they serve; family meals or five-star restaurants alike.
And that’s why we’re inviting everyone to join us – to share their recipes, explore new flavors and be part of something special. We know everyone has something delicious to offer!

Grilling season is here! And whether you're cooking homemade burgers outside on a grill or inside on a griddle, the first step to making a knock-it-out-of-the-park burger is to season it properly. This easy homemade burger seasoning is quick to prepare, uses spices you likely already have, and takes a ground meat patty to a whole new level. Let me know how you like it! I think you will be back for more!
What is in Burger Seasoning?
It doesn't need to be complicated to add flavor to homemade hamburgers. We use paprika, both smoked (and sweet), fresh cracked pepper, onion powder, garlic, salt and a small amount of cayenne in our simple burger mix. All of these spices are pretty basic, but together they enhance the flavor of beef without overpowering it. This results in the perfect home-made hamburger.
How to season burgers
This burger seasoning works best when sprinkled lightly on top of the burger patties. Avoid overworking your meat when making hamburgers. This can result in a dense, tough burger. For the best burgers, gently form your burgers and then lightly season them with your burger seasoning.
How much Burger Seasoning should I use?
I recommend using 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per side for a quarter pound of burger patties. You can adjust the amount to your taste. This recipe makes approximately 1 Tbsp burger seasoning. That should be enough to make four burger patties.
You can make more burger spice at once by simply changing the number of servings in the box below. The rest of the ingredients are automatically adjusted.
P.S. This basic seasoning blend goes well with almost everything. Try it with steak fries, roasts of pork or beef, or even grilled steaks.

How To
How to store cooking spice?
I'll show you how to store spices properly for best results. First, let's understand how foods are stored.
Because light can diminish the flavour of spices, they should be kept in sealed containers. This is due to oxidation which occurs when oxygen combines with organic compounds such as those found in spices.
To avoid oxidation, spice should be kept in dark cupboards. Spices lose their flavor quickly if these conditions don't exist.
You can preserve the flavor of spices by keeping them in sealed jars, away from direct sunlight.
You can flavor water by adding herbs and spices. Mix two teaspoons of ground cinnamon and 1/2 cup warm water. Stir well. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and serve immediately.
Add dried herbs and spices to soups. Just sprinkle the spice mix evenly over the dish. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before you serve.
You can add leftover cooked vegetables, fruits, meats and shellfish to your favorite recipes as snacks.
If you want to take advantage of the flavours of fresh herbs and spices, chop or tear them up and add them to foods while they're still hot. Also, you can freeze herbs and spice by placing them into ice cube dishes or muffin cups. Once frozen transfer to zip-top plastic bags or freezer bags.
