Frequently Asked Questions
Is Thai cooking made with garlic?
Thai cuisine includes garlic. Garlic is used in Thai cuisine as an ingredient in salads, soups and stir-fries.
Thai garlic is chopped and fried together with ginger, shallots and other spices. It is also often eaten with sticky rice.
Garlic is best chopped finely and mixed with oil, chilli paste, fish sauce, lime juice and oil. This mixture is called "Nam Phrik" (namphrik). Nam phrik is often accompanied by grilled chicken or beef.
What are the 11 spice ingredients in Indian cooking?
Coriander seeds and cumin seeds are the eleven main spices in Indian cuisine.
These ingredients can be found in almost all dishes. These spices are used in almost every dish, including curries, curries, chutneys (pickles), rice, bread and sweets.
For health reasons, spices are also beneficial. One example is turmeric, which helps fight cancer cells. Bad breath is protected by cloves. Black pepper lowers cholesterol. Cinnamon lowers blood pressure. And ginger aids digestion.
A spice rack is a fantastic kitchen tool that allows you experiment with different combinations. You can mix your own spices or purchase ready-made spice mixes that include many essential spices.
Some people prefer not to add any spices to their food. They believe spices only mask natural flavor and do little to enhance them. A pinch of salt or pepper will not harm your dishes.
Many chefs agree that spices play a crucial role in culinary art. Many dishes would be bland and tasteless without spices. Next time you feel inspired, try a new recipe.
Can you put spice in a drink?
It's amazing how spices can add flavour and flavor to food. How do you make spices alive in drinks?
Spices can bring out the best of any beverage. Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to your favorite beverage, such as coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Most recipes require ground spices. You will need to use fresh whole spices. This is sensible, but it can be expensive, time-consuming, and requires storage space.
This is where the magic happens. With a little creativity, you can make your favorite spices easy to use in powdered form. These spices can be mixed into favorite beverages to create tasty spiced drinks.
These powders can be made in two ways. One way is to grind whole spices into fine powder. Another method is to use a mortar & pestle to grind the spices until they are finely ground.
Whichever method you choose, you'll find that the resulting powder is much easier to measure out and store than whole spices. Plus, the powder keeps well so that you won't run out of stock.
You can even experiment with mixing different spices to create new flavours. To make minty water, you can combine spearmint and peppermint leaves. You can also make spicy ginger-ginger tea by combining ginger and cardamom seeds.
Once you have mastered the art of making powdered spices you can use that same technique for herbs. Some of the most common herbs are basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano and sage.
The possibilities are endless. Powdered spices are a great way to make your drinks more flavorful or to enhance dishes like soups and salads.
What are the Primary Flavours In Thai Cooking?
Thai cuisine includes several distinct regional cuisines. There are five main types of Thai cuisine: Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern. Each region has its unique flavour profile.
Thai food is known for its sweet, salty and sour flavors.
Thais consider sweetness essential because it makes dishes taste good. Thai cuisine includes sweet ingredients like palm sugar (gulamelaka) or coconut milk.
Thailand is also a popular place for sourness. Sour foods are often served alongside hot dishes. This combination helps balance out the heat.
Thai food has a lot of spicy ingredients. Thai cuisine uses a lot of spices, including galangal ginger root, chilli pepper, and garlic.
What is the difference between cooking Whole and Ground Spices? Ground Spices?
There are no significant differences in the cooking of whole and ground spices. After harvesting, spices are ground. This ensures that there are no differences in the quality of spices.
However, the price difference is substantial. Whole spices cost more because of the labour involved in processing them. But the taste is worth it.
When you buy bulk spices, you may get additional discounts. If you buy a whole bag of cinnamon sticks, you may get a discount.
The same applies to nutmeg and cloves, ginger or cardamom. These spices can be purchased in bulk to save money.
Ground spices last much longer than whole spices. Because ground spices lose potency quickly from oxidation, this is why whole spices last longer than ground spices.
The main reason we recommend whole spices over dried is that they can add lots of flavor to recipes.
You can make a delicious curry by using whole turmeric in place of ground turmeric. For chicken dishes, whole coriander seeds can be ground to make a spice blend.
The process of grinding spices takes a lot of time. If you're buying whole spices it makes sense for you to buy large quantities. This will ensure that you don't run out of spices quickly.
Thai food includes paprika.
Yes. It is an ingredient in many dishes, including Pad See Ew (Thai fried rice), from eggs cooked in coconut milk.
Thai cuisine, Mexican, Spanish and Indian food, as well as Thai and Balkan dishes, contain paprika.
Paprika can been traced back to Ancient Greece over 5,000 years ago. The Hungarian language is what "paprika" means.

How To
How To Make A Garlic Press?
A garlic presse is an indispensable tool for home chefs. It makes it easy to mince garlic into a paste, puree it into soups or salad dressings, or even make a sauce. It's also great for crushing whole garlic cloves into a buttery spread or garlic salt.
However, if you don’t already have a garlic pressing machine, you might wonder how to get one. We have some tips to help get you started.
First of all, you'll need to get a large bowl. Place the bowl under the pressure regulator and pour the crushed garlic inside. Now, set the pressure regulator valve to the maximum.
Next, turn the handle counterclockwise until you hear a click. The top of the press should lift up and expose a flat surface. This will allow you slide the blade back-and-forth over the bowl. Continue to turn the handle counterclockwise, until the blades are closed.
Finally, remove the pressed garlic.
Here are some more ways to use this versatile instrument:
- Use minced garlic in soups, sauces and salads as a seasoning or even as a garnish.
- Use the press for whole garlic cloves to make a buttery spread
- Place whole garlic cloves in a pizza dough and crush them before baking
- Roasted garlic can be incorporated into creamy polenta or mashed potatoes.
- Use the press for homemade pesto
- Blend the garlic into a smooth vinegar dressing
