Mental clarity is key to meeting personal and professional goals, battling stress, and leading a happy life. Getting adequate sleep, eating nutrient-dense foods, and choosing organic products can improve cognitive and mental health.
Many people choose to buy organic food for a number of reasons, including reduced exposure to pesticides and the ethical treatment of animals. However, a recent study revealed that organic foods can also help promote mental clarity.
Enhances Cognitive Clarity and Focus
Mental clarity can be diminished by several factors, including not getting enough sleep, poor diet, and chronic stress or anxiety. Luckily, there are many ways to improve your cognitive function and promote mental clarity and focus, such as exercise, meditation, and taking brain-boosting supplements like omega-3 fish oil or L-theanine.
Organic food can boost mental clarity and focus in a number of ways. First, it reduces exposure to harmful pesticides that can damage your brain cells. Also, organic food is more nutrient-dense, supplying your body with the vitamins and minerals it needs to stay healthy and alert.
In a study conducted by RedJade sensory software with 63 German consumers, participants were asked to rank their subjective wellbeing status after tasting organic and conventional stimuli. Six bipolar wellbeing parameters were used for this ranking, based on the satisfaction of daily life wellbeing concept that incorporates physical, emotional and social dimensions. The study also investigated the impact of the intention-behavior gap on this wellbeing perception during the consumption experience.
Reduces Stress
A diet high in organic fruits, vegetables and lean protein may help reduce the occurrence of mental health problems. These foods are rich in vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, which can aid brain function. They also have a lower glycemic load, which is good for the nervous system and helps prevent mood swings.
Certain foods, like deli meat and sweets, can stress the body. However, a healthy diet filled with nutrient-rich food can improve mental health and increase productivity.
Choosing organic produce can also reduce the amount of chemical pesticides, herbicides and preservatives you consume. These chemicals can be absorbed through the skin, so eating organic can help keep you and your family safe from harmful chemicals. Moreover, organic foods are free from GMOs. You can find these foods at local grocery stores or farmers markets, which are great places to buy fresh and local produce.
Improves Memory
Everyone experiences memory gaps and a lack of focus from time to time. But when those issues are a regular occurrence, it may be an early sign of a more serious condition like Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Eating organic foods can help boost cognitive function. Organic food contains higher levels of brain-boosting nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, choline, magnesium and zinc.
A study published in Environmental Pollution found that children whose diet included organic foods scored better on tests of fluid intelligence and working memory. Lower scores on these tests were associated with children’s intake of fast food, house crowding and exposure to indoor tobacco smoke. Try incorporating organic produce, nuts and seeds into your diet to get more of these nutrients. Eggs are another great source of choline, which has been shown to improve memory in perimenopausal and post-menopausal women. Real, extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is one of the best brain foods because it provides a healthy dose of monounsaturated fats, as well as antioxidants known as polyphenols that promote healthy aging and protect against neurological diseases.
Reduces Anxiety
Many people think organic food is a fad, but the truth is that it can improve your mental health. Eating healthy and avoiding processed foods can help reduce anxiety symptoms.
Anxiety is a normal response to stress, but it can become severe in some cases and lead to mental illness. There are several ways to reduce anxiety, including talking with a therapist or taking medication prescribed by a doctor.
A diet rich in organic fruits and vegetables can boost mood and reduce anxiety. Fatty fish like salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to support brain function and relieve anxiety. Green tea and chamomile are also good options, as they contain the amino acid L-theanine, which has a relaxing effect. Vitamin C is another nutrient that promotes healthy brain function and can lower anxiety levels. One cup of kale provides almost your entire recommended daily allowance, and a Sneakz Organic Milkshake contains half that amount!

This drives up the demand for organic products. Organic farming has become increasingly popular.
Is organic food better for us?
According to the Environmental Working Group's latest report on pesticide residues in foods, organic fruits and vegetables had nearly half the level of pesticides compared with non-organic versions. The Environmental Working Group found that organic apples contained eight-times less pesticides than other non-organic fruits, and organic strawberries had fourfold more than their conventional counterparts.
Studies have also shown that organic foods reduce the risk of mercury and lead poisoning. A study concluded that children who ate organic meat had 33% lower levels of blood lead than those who didn’t. Another study concluded conventional fish consumption should be stopped by pregnant women because it contains high levels of mercury.

Is organic meat healthier?
You probably know the answer if you have been paying attention for a while. Here's the problem: Organic food is becoming more sought-after, while traditional food continues to decline in popularity.
Organic foods continue to be popular because they offer a healthier alternative. In addition to being safer for our health, organic products also help the environment by reducing pollution and waste.
However, this coin has two sides. Organic produce takes longer to grow and requires more resources to do so. This means that organic food costs more money than its non-organic counterpart.
Organic meats are typically higher priced than conventionally raised animals. However, it is possible to reduce costs without compromising on quality.
Local purchases can help you save money. Locally grown fruits and veggies help to lower prices because farmers get incentives to grow good crops.
A great way to save money is to search for deals. When you purchase organics, there are often discounts.
A third way to save money on meat consumption is to eat less. Because of the amount of feed required to raise livestock, meat production can become expensive.
While there are many reasons organic food is better for our bodies as well as the planet, we must not forget the cost.

You will learn where to buy cheap organic meats, and what they cost per pound. You'll learn how to get the best from what you buy.
You don't need to spend a lot of money to eat healthily. Sometimes creativity is required to make money while still eating healthy. Here's my list of ways to keep your food costs down while enjoying organic meat's benefits.
- Wholesale clubs - Sams Club and Costco are great places for bulk food like chicken breasts or pork chops. You can often find deals on large quantities (up to 50 pounds) if you live close to one of these stores. This way, you won't waste any meat. And if you buy it in bulk, you can freeze it, so it lasts longer.
- Shopping online is easy - There are tons of websites that sell meat at reduced prices. Amazon offers Prime Pantry, a weekly deal with free shipping on orders above $35. They offer discounts on beef roasts, ground beef, lamb steaks, and pork loins. You can browse their website and view what's on sale at different times.
- Look for a local farmer. They usually charge less than big-box retailers, as they don't have to pay large stocking fees. They also know what their animals ate and drink so they can tell exactly what is inside.
- You should look for the leanest cuts of meat. Lean meat is typically cheaper to cook than fatty. The leanest cuts are therefore preferred. The most popular are sirloin or flank steak, tenderloin roasts, top round steak, and top roast steak. These cuts are very low-fat and high in proteins.
- You don't have to be afraid to try new recipes. It's possible to reduce grocery expenses by cooking new recipes using ingredients you've never tried before. You may be amazed at the variety of delicious dishes that you can make with fresh tomatoes, onions garlic, olive oil and spices.
