What are organic fruits and vegetables?

When possible, buy organic fruits and veggies
USDA organic labels for meat, poultry eggs, milk and cheese as well butter and honey are recommended.
Avoid processed foods that claim to be "natural" and "no additives."
Check ingredient lists carefully. If an ingredient isn’t listed, it might be added during processing.
Fresh meats are better than canned or frozen. Frozen and canned foods often contain less nutrient-rich ingredients like high fructose corn syrup.
Does organic mean it is pesticide-free?
Organic food is organic and free of pesticides. This means that organic foods are not subject to chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
Because it is free from harmful additives, organic produce has higher nutritional value than conventionally produced food.
The USDA National Organic Program, (NOP), requires farmers to adhere to strict guidelines when cultivating organic crops.
These guidelines include soil preparation and crop rotation, pest management, water conservation, as well as harvesting practices.
