Here are my tips for finding cheap organic meats. I'll also tell you how much each pound costs. This will teach you how to get the most out of your purchase.

You don't need to spend a lot of money to eat healthily. Sometimes, you have to use your creativity to save money while still eating well. Here's my list of ways to keep your food costs down while enjoying organic meat's benefits.

  1. Buy at wholesale clubs - Costco and Sams Club are great places to shop for bulk foods like chicken breasts and pork chops. These stores often offer discounts on large quantities of meat, up to 50 pounds, if you are lucky enough to be near one. This way, you won't waste any meat. If you buy it in bulk you can freeze it so it lasts more.
  2. Look online to save money on meat. Amazon offers Prime Pantry, a weekly deal with free shipping on orders above $35. There are discounts on roasts, ground beef and lamb steaks as well as pork loins. You can browse their website and view what's on sale at different times.
  3. Locate a farmer in your area. Local farmers are usually cheaper than big box retailers as they don’t pay high stocking fees. They know exactly what the animals ate and drank to ensure they are fully informed about what is in their bodies.
