What is the difference between organic and inorganic foods?
Organic food is free from pesticides, chemical fertilizers and sewage sludge. It can also be grown without irradiation or genetic modification. Organic farming practices improve soil health and water quality as well as animal welfare.

What are organic fruits?
Organic foods are free of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Organic foods contain more nutrients like vitamins A, C and E, as well as omega-3 fatty oils. These healthy ingredients make organic food better for our bodies and the planet.
Organic foods are grown with sustainable agricultural practices that help to preserve soil quality, and increase biological diversity. They are free from harmful chemicals, radiation, and sewage sludge.
While most consumers associate organics with produce, many organic products include dairy, meat, poultry, eggs, baked goods, personal care items, pet food, and household cleaning supplies.
The USDA defines "organic" as that crops being raised according to strict rules set forth by federal government standards. Farmers cannot use conventional (non-organic) methods to grow these foods. All the above requirements are met by vegetables and fruits that are labeled "100% Organic". But, not all farms label their produce as 100% organic. It would confuse consumers. Instead, they will say that their product is "made with organic components". "
Why should I go organic?

Organic foods: Are organic foods healthier?
Organic food is produced without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. They are grown naturally without artificial inputs such pesticides and herbicides. Cover crops, crop rotation, crop rotation, composting animal manure as well as recycling wastewater are all organic farming practices.
The USDA National Organic Program (NOP), established in 2002 to regulate production, handling and processing of organic products sold in the United States. The NOP regulations ensure that organic agricultural products are produced according to federal standards outlined in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Organic products must also be free from banned substances, such as pesticides residues, growth hormones and irradiation.
Two types of certification programs are available in the United States for producers who wish to have their products labeled organic. One is for farmers and ranchers; one is for manufacturers. Both programs require an annual audit of the operations in order to confirm compliance with stringent standards. Many certifying agents offer this service, including CCOF Certified Organic Farmers & Ranchers (QA International), American Grassfed Association, and Quality Assurance International. These three organizations provide third party verification of farms following strict guidelines on environmental stewardship. labour practices, and animal care.
According to the USDA's Economic Research Service, organic agriculture accounted for $4.7 billion in sales in 2013. It was a 23 percent rise in retail spending for certified organic products since 2009. The number of grocery stores that sold organic products increased 12 percent over the same period. Spending on direct purchases of organic produce increased by 29 percent, while spending on meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, and seafood grew by only 1 percent.
Organic food is more expensive, but consumers believe its quality is worth the extra cost. According to a 2015 survey conducted by Consumer Reports, 88 percent of respondents said they would pay more for organic food if it meant higher nutritional value. Health Affairs also published a study showing that organic foods are less likely for people to get heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or obesity.
Although there is no evidence eating organic foods prevents or treats any diseases, some studies suggest that consuming them might improve overall health by reducing exposure to specific contaminants and pesticides. A review of 31 studies that were published in 2010 found that organically raised beef has significantly lower levels than conventionally raised beef. A separate analysis of 11 studies published in 2012 reached similar conclusions.
The Environmental Working Group released a report in 2014 that analyzed data from USDA's Agricultural Marketing Resource Center. They found that there was a decrease in foodborne illness due to E.coli, salmonella, listeria moncytogenes or campylobacter. After 2006, when USDA required stricter organic standards in animal raising for human consumption, the group noted that E.coli O157 was less common among children and adults.
