Frequently Asked Questions
Is organic food good for you?
There are two types: foods that we grow and those that we purchase from others. While there are exceptions, the general answer is yes to both. Organic food is safer because it does not contain any harmful chemicals.
Organic food can be found in supermarkets throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Organic food is now available in most grocery stores, making it easier to find organic foods.
Organic food tastes better and is more nutritious, as it has higher levels of vitamins and minerals. Organics can be grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. This ensures that organics do not pollute our soil or water supply.
The USDA regulates organic agriculture practices. This means that farmers must adhere to strict guidelines to make sure organic produce is safe to consume. There are over 30 million acres of US organic farmland.
Organic food is often more affordable than conventional food. For the same amount, consumers pay less. Organic farms are free to charge less for their crops, as they don't need to pay expensive chemical inputs such insecticides orfungicides.
According to Environmental Working Group, organic food can be 10 percent cheaper per pound when compared to conventionally produced food. Consider switching to organic foods if you are concerned about your health and the well-being of your family.
Organic food has been a popular alternative for standard American diets. It is often believed that organic food is exclusive to specialty markets and gourmet restaurants. Organic food can be purchased in most grocery stores across the United States.
Organic food sales have increased significantly in recent years. The market value of organic food in the US was $43 billion in 2012, up from $21 billion in 2007.

Are organic foods better?
According to the Environmental Working Group's recent report on pesticide residues within foods, organic fruits & vegetables contained nearly half of the pesticides that non-organic varieties. The Environmental Working Group found that organic apples contained eight-times less pesticides than other non-organic fruits, and organic strawberries had fourfold more than their conventional counterparts.
Studies have also shown that organic foods reduce the risk of mercury and lead poisoning. A study concluded that children who ate organic meat had 33% lower levels of blood lead than those who didn’t. Another study concluded that pregnant mothers should avoid eating conventional fish because of the high levels mercury.
Organic food is generally safer than non-organic. Experts recommend that fresh produce and vegetables be used whenever possible to reduce your chances of developing cancer.
What is organic beef?
Organic meat is organic food that has been grown naturally without the use of pesticides, artificial fertilizers or hormones. It also means that the animals weren't fed any genetically modified feed. This means that the meat is safe for consumption as there aren’t any harmful chemicals.
Organic meats are also healthier for the environment. Organic foods reduce pollution in rivers, lakes and landfills. Organic farmers are less likely to use toxic chemicals to kill birds or insects. This helps protect wildlife.
It is best to buy organic meats locally as much as possible. Local shopping helps keep more money in your community than it does out of state. Local businesses often offer discounts to their customers by shopping locally. Shopping locally keeps American jobs in America, rather than sending them abroad.
What's the difference between organic foods and inorganic food?
Organic food is made without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Organic farming practices improve soil health and water quality as well as animal welfare.
Inorganic foods are produced using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and sewage effluent. Radiated foods can be treated with radiation. Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are created by biological engineering techniques.
The term "natural", often used interchangeably to mean "organic," is frequently used. But natural does not necessarily imply organic. Some products labeled "natural" may also contain synthetic ingredients.
Organic produce is usually more nutritious that conventional produce. This is because organic soil contains fewer toxic chemicals and pesticides. In addition, organic farmers do not use artificial fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides.
What are organic products for the skin?
Organic skincare products don't contain any synthetic chemicals such as parabens or phthalates.
Organic skincare products don't contain artificial colours or fragrances.
They also help to preserve healthy skin and prevent premature aging.
These are some terms that you might see when looking for organic products

- Fragrance-Free: The product is free of essential oils or fragrances.
- Cruelty-Free - No animals were harmed during the manufacturing process.

- Pesticide-Free - No pesticides have been used in the growing and harvesting process.
- GMO-Free means that no ingredient in the product contains genetically modified organisms.

Why is organic food so important?
Organic produce is vital for our health. It's the best way to ensure we eat nutritious foods. It's better for us and more sustainable because it doesn’t depend on pesticides or fertilizers.
Organic farming uses natural methods of cultivating crops that are free from harmful chemicals. This means fewer environmental pollutants, making it safer for humans and animals. You are helping the planet and yourself by choosing organic food.
The benefits of organic food go beyond our health, though. We all know how toxic processed food can make you feel. But did you know that most organic fruits and vegetables aren't treated with chemical spray either? This means they are more fresh tasting, last longer and look better.
Because of this, organic foods are so important. Organic food is not only healthier for you but also for the whole world.

How to get Organic Meat on a budget
In this post, I'll share tips and tricks on buying organic meat without breaking your bank account.
I will give you tips on where to find cheap organic meats and how much they cost per pound. This will teach you how to get the most out of your purchase.
Healthy eating doesn't require you to spend a lot. Sometimes, it takes a bit of creativity to save money while eating well. Here are some ways you can cut down on food expenses while still getting the best from organic meat.
- Wholesale clubs - Sams Club, Costco, and Sams Club offer great deals on bulk foods like chicken breasts. You can often find deals on large quantities (up to 50 pounds) if you live close to one of these stores. This way, you won't waste any meat. You can also freeze the meat if you buy it bulk.
- Online shopping is a great way to find meat at a discounted price. Amazon offers Prime Pantry weekly deals, including free shipping for orders above $35 You can get discounts on ground beef, beef roasts, lamb steaks and pork loins. You can browse their website and view what's on sale at different times.
- Look for a local farmer. They usually charge less than big-box retailers, as they don't have to pay large stocking fees. Local farmers also know exactly what their animals have eaten and drank so they can determine what's in their bodies.
- You should look for the leanest cuts of meat. Lean meat is typically cheaper to cook than fatty. So, look for the leanest cuts. These include sirloin, tenderloin, top round, flank, and top-round steaks. These cuts are very low-fat and high in proteins.
- You don't have to be afraid to try new recipes. Cooking with new ingredients is one of the best ways to cut your grocery bills. You may be amazed at the variety of delicious dishes that you can make with fresh tomatoes, onions garlic, olive oil and spices.
- You can be creative with leftovers. If you have leftover poultry or meat, you can use them to make sandwiches, soups and casseroles. For quick lunches, leftover meat can be used to make dinners.
So, there you are! That's my list of tips on how to afford organic meat even though you're on a budget. Are you able to offer any additional tips? What other tips do you have for me?
