What are the most loved organic products?
The fastest-growing industry is organic food. There is still much to be done, even though we have come so far from our roots.
Organic products are the future. Organic products are safer and better for the environment. They also make it more affordable for consumers.
They also tend to have higher prices. That's why we created the Organic Food Index. We wanted to see which foods are most in demand today and how these trends are changing.
These results indicate that organic food is growing in popularity. Between 2011-2012, nearly half of Americans shopped for organic foods.
The USDA reported that organic production rose by 10% in the last year. Currently, organic food accounts for 9% in the U.S. agricultural production.
Although organic food is gaining popularity, it appears that consumers still have to pay a premium for it. According to the Organic Trade Association OTA, organic food retail prices are about twice those of conventional products.
However, organic food is growing more quickly than any other part of the food market. If you look closely at the data, it will be apparent that organic food consumption has steadily increased since 2009.
According to OTA the volume of organic products sold at supermarkets grew by 14% in 2010 and 2011.
This is because of consumer demand for healthier products, which explains the rise in organic food sales across all age categories.
Younger generations are also leading the way in organic food choices. Millennials are twice more likely to purchase organic food than baby boomers. The 25% of organic food purchase made by younger adults below 35 are made up of young adults.

How To
How to buy organic meat even on a tight budget
In this post I'll share some tips and techniques for buying organic meat that won't break the bank.
Here are my tips for finding cheap organic meats. I'll also tell you how much each pound costs. You'll learn how to get the best from what you buy.
To eat well, you don't have to spend a lot. Sometimes it takes creativity to save money and eat well. Here's my list of ways to keep your food costs down while enjoying organic meat's benefits.
- Wholesale clubs - Sams Club and Costco are great places for bulk food like chicken breasts or pork chops. If you are fortunate enough to live near one, you may be able get discounts up to 50 lbs on large quantities. You won't have to waste meat. You can also freeze the meat if you buy it bulk.
- Shop around online - Tons of websites sell meat at discounted prices. For example, Amazon has a weekly deal called Prime Pantry, which includes free shipping on orders over $35. They offer discounts on beef roasts, ground beef, lamb steaks, and pork loins. It's easy to browse their website and see what's available at different times.
- Locate a farmer in your area. Local farmers are usually cheaper than big box retailers as they don’t pay high stocking fees. Plus, they know exactly what their animals ate and drank, so they know exactly what's inside their bodies.
- Look out for cuts that are the leanest. It's generally less expensive to cook lean meat than fatty. The leanest cuts are therefore preferred. The most popular are sirloin or flank steak, tenderloin roasts, top round steak, and top roast steak. These cuts are high in protein and low in fat.
- Try new recipes. It's possible to reduce grocery expenses by cooking new recipes using ingredients you've never tried before. It's possible to create delicious meals with fresh tomatoes, onions and garlic using olive oil, spices, and garlic.
- Use leftovers to create new recipes. For quick lunches, leftover meat can be used to make dinners.
There you have it! Here are some tips on how you can afford organic meat despite being on a strict budget. Are you able to offer any additional tips? Do you have any suggestions for me on where to find cheap meat?
