  • Non-Toxic-The product doesn't contain any toxic chemicals, carcinogens, and/or other harmful substances that could be harmful to your health.
  • Biodegradable: The product will be discarded as harmless components.
  • Pesticide Free - No pesticides were used during the growing or harvesting processes.
  • GMO-Free: This means that no product ingredient contains genetically engineered organisms.
  • Certified Organic means all ingredients were grown in ways that preserve the soil, water and air.


What should I look out for when buying organic products?

USDA-certified organic labels are recommended. This certification means that the product is certified organic by USDA. Look for the "USDA Organic" seal on packages, boxes, cartons, cans, and jars.

When shopping for meat, ensure it comes from cows fed 100% organic feed. Cattle are ruminants which means that they chew the cud. Ruminant cattle have 4 stomach compartments: Rumen, reticulum and omasum. If a cow is to be labeled organically, all parts must be organically fed.

Make sure you only buy chicken from chicken farms that are fed organically and have never been given antibiotics. Omnivore chickens eat both animals and plants. Omnivorous chickens have a digestive tract composed of a crop, proventriculus, gizzard, small intestine, large intestine, and anus.

Buy only dairy products from cows that have been fed organically grown feed. Just like ruminants, dairy cows also have four stomachs. The fourth stomach compartment--the cow's udder--is where milk is produced.

If you are buying other types of livestock, make sure to check the label to determine the percentage of their diet. For example, pork may be marked "95% organic" to indicate that 95 percent of the pork's feed is organic.


What's the difference between organic foods and inorganic food?

Organic food is made without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Organic farming practices improve soil health and water quality as well as animal welfare.

Inorganic food is grown with pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Irradiated foods are treated with radiation; genetically modified organisms (GMO) are created through biological engineering techniques.
