What is the difference between organic and inorganic foods?
Organic food is made without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Organic farming practices promote soil health, water quality and animal welfare.
Inorganic foods can be grown using pesticides, chemical fertilizers and sewage sludge. Irradiated foods are treated with radiation; genetically modified organisms (GMO) are created through biological engineering techniques.
"Organic" and "natural" are often interchangeable. Natural does not necessarily have to mean organic. There are also products labelled "natural" which may contain synthetic ingredients.
Because organic produce contains fewer harmful chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers than conventional produce it is more nutritious. Organic farmers don't use any artificial fertilizers, hormones or antibiotics.
What are organic fruits?
Organic food is free from pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and hormones. Organic foods contain more nutrients like vitamins A, C and E, as well as omega-3 fatty oils. Organic food is better for the earth and our bodies because of these healthy ingredients.
Organic foods are grown using sustainable farming practices that preserve soil quality and encourage biological diversity. They are produced without harmful chemicals, irradiation, or sewage sludge.
While most consumers associate organics with produce, many organic products include dairy, meat, poultry, eggs, baked goods, personal care items, pet food, and household cleaning supplies.
The USDA defines "organic" as that crops being raised according to strict rules set forth by federal government standards. To grow these foods, farmers cannot use non-organic (or conventional) methods. However, they may use approved natural pest control methods, such as crop rotation and cover cropping, and animal feed made from organic materials.
In addition, the farmer must follow guidelines regarding how much fertilizer and pesticide he uses during the growing season and rotate his fields between various crops. Farmers cannot use genetically modified organisms (GMOs), artificial growth hormones, synthetic insecticides, or synthetic fertilizers.
The requirements for organic fruits and vegetables are met if they are labeled 100 percent organic. But some farms do not label their products as 100% organic because it would confuse consumers. Instead, they will label the product as "made from organic ingredients". "
Why should I buy organic?

What is organic beef?

Here are some tips to help you find low-cost organic meats. Also, how much per pound they cost. You'll learn how to get the best from what you buy.
Healthy eating doesn't require you to spend a lot. Sometimes it takes creativity to save money and eat well. Here's my list of ways to keep your food costs down while enjoying organic meat's benefits.
- Buy bulk food at wholesale clubs. Sams Club and Costco both offer great options for buying bulk foods like pork chops and chicken breasts. If you are fortunate enough to live near one, you may be able get discounts up to 50 lbs on large quantities. You won't have to waste meat. If you buy it in bulk you can freeze it so it lasts more.
- Shopping online is easy - There are tons of websites that sell meat at reduced prices. For example, Amazon has a weekly deal called Prime Pantry, which includes free shipping on orders over $35. They offer discounts on beef roasts, ground beef, lamb steaks, and pork loins. It's easy to browse their website and see what's available at different times.
- Look for a local farmer. They usually charge less than big-box retailers, as they don't have to pay large stocking fees. Local farmers also know exactly what their animals have eaten and drank so they can determine what's in their bodies.
- Choose lean cuts of meat - It is usually cheaper to cook lean meat than fatty. You should always look for the best cuts. These include sirloin, tenderloin, top round, flank, and top-round steaks. These cuts are low in fat and high-protein.
- Try new recipes. One of the easiest ways to reduce your grocery bill is to start cooking meals with ingredients you haven't used before. It's possible to create delicious meals with fresh tomatoes, onions and garlic using olive oil, spices, and garlic.
