These include lemongrass, fennel chamomile, and mint. Hibiscus or rose tea, added to water, will calm you down and help your body not react excessively in the heat.
Because it is hard to get dogs to drink tea, you can make an ice-block that they can lick and chew to stay hydrated.
Making Ice Treats for Dogs
You can purchase dog ice treats kits to make for your dog. However, you can easily do this yourself using an ice-cream pail, water and some dog toys. Here's how...
Step 1
Fill an ice-cream pail with 1/3 water, and add a few dog toys. Freeze. Add pieces of bacon or carrots that can be frozen.
Step 2.
Fill with water up to 2/3, then add some treats and freeze.
Step 4
Continue to layer the ice-cream pail until it is full.
Step 4
After everything has frozen, place the pail into a sink of warm water and wait until the ice block is ready to be removed.
Step 5
Let your dog enjoy the ice blocks filled with dog treats.
NOTE:
You might have to make it a few times before your puppy understands what's going on. Spend some time with him as the ice block melts and reveals toys and treats. Once he understands, he will happily lick the ice away to get the treats.
